Nestled in the heart of Forest Hills, Manor Oktoberfest is a celebration of authentic German cuisine and culture, offering a vibrant escape for anyone craving traditional flavors with a touch of local warmth. This German restaurant at 73-11 Yellowstone Blvd stands out not only for its hearty, satisfying dishes but also for the genuine, welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit feel like a festive family gathering.
Manor Oktoberfest’s menu is a treasure trove for lovers of German fare. The Jägerschnitzel, a tender breaded pork cutlet bathed in a rich mushroom hunter sauce, arrives piping hot paired with crispy home-fried potatoes and tangy red cabbage—each bite a perfect harmony of savory and subtle earthiness. Meanwhile, the Hungarian Schnitzel offers a bold twist, smothered in a smoky paprika sauce and served alongside traditional spaetzle and refreshing cucumber salad, inviting diners to explore nuanced flavors beyond classic German fare.
The culinary adventure continues with an array of sausages like the Knockwurst, made from all-beef, the mildly spicy Krainer Wurst with melted cheddar, or the succulent Bratwurst combining pork and veal — each sausage cooked to juicy perfection. Pair any of these with sides like German potato salad, creamed spinach, or crispy beer-battered onion rings for a truly comforting experience. Don’t miss the Oktoberfest Pretzel, a warm, fluffy delight best dipped in the creamy, robust beer cheese fondue that perfectly complements its savory saltiness.
The menu’s offerings also include unique items such as Sauerbraten Eggrolls, Crab Cakes, and a variety of sandwiches including a Hot Pastrami Sandwich and a crave-worthy Chicken Sandwich, showcasing the kitchen’s creative breadth. Sweet endings come in the form of traditional Apple Strudel topped with velvety ice cream — a classic European treat that melts in your mouth, leaving a lingering warmth perfect for rounding out the meal.
Beyond the food, Manor Oktoberfest brings an inviting, unpretentious vibe that Peter Martelli praises for striking the perfect balance between comfort and attention to detail. From lively weekends filled with German tunes to the friendly, attentive staff who know how to make you feel at home, the ambiance complements the menu beautifully. Angelo Masucci’s experience highlights not only the accommodating service but also the bustling bar area with a wide selection of German beers and energetic bartenders, making Manor Oktoberfest a great spot for both casual dinners and spirited gatherings.
Steve Kliche’s admiration for the “Manor Burger and Pretzel” alongside the outstanding beer selection captures the essence of this neighborhood gem, where you can savor expertly crafted dishes amidst an atmosphere that feels genuine and familial. Even specialty dishes like the Flat Iron Steak and the weekly seafood specials have garnered enthusiastic praise, as noted by Robert Schnell, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to variety and top-notch quality.
Whether you’re settling in for a comforting meal of Jägerschnitzel and dark German beer, sharing an Oktoberfest Pretzel with friends, or diving into their off-menu specials, Manor Oktoberfest promises a rich, authentic culinary experience. It’s a place where flavors tell stories, service feels personal, and every visit leaves you with the warmth and satisfaction of a true German celebration in the heart of Queens.
Manor Oktoberfest is a great neighborhood restaurant. The food is consistently on point; great steaks, amazing burgers, and the specials are always worth ordering. Everything feels well thought out and well executed. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the place is comfortable without trying too hard. I live close and would eat here eight days a week if I could. It’s one of those spots you’re genuinely happy to have nearby.
I recently went out for a small holiday dinner with family. We had an awesome time. The food was great and service was super accommodating. The restaurant was crowded when we walked in and they did their best to find a table for us right away. Great bar up front as well with lively atmosphere, excellent bartenders and a wide selection of beer. Great find in the area. Highly recommended. We loved it!
Manor Oktoberfest Ist Wunderbar! Great German beer and the food is always delicious. The Manor Burger and Pretzel are the best in Queens. The staff makes you feel like family. Don’t forget to have the Jager.
We started with the pretzel with the beer cheese. Personally not much of a fan of it but it wasn't bad. Rib were pretty good when you had it with the mustard. Without the mustard they were alright. Hungarian schnitzel - the pork was crispy and tasty. We did not like the pasta thing it came with however. Warm apply strudel with Ice cream was good. Service, vibe and cleanliness was ok point.
The staff is welcoming, professional and efficient. The food is exceptional. Other than the traditional German delicacies their weekly specials are mouth watering. This week, the Flat Iron Steak is off the charts delicious. You could split the Cowboy Steak and feed the family They just featured their famous Seafood Chowder and Seafood Egg rolls. Not to be missed!!! They feature German music and Trivia on alternating Wednesdays and Dino on the Accordion on Thursdays They feature German Bier from the 6 traditional Breweries ( from the 1,400 and 1,500 hundreds )and many others Great place to bring the family. Prost
Great spot with consistently good food and a solid beer selection. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, and it’s an easy place to enjoy a long meal or hang out with friends. The schnitzel and sausages were really well done, and the portions were generous without feeling heavy. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out quickly. Definitely a reliable go-to for German food in Queens.
This a great local family run restaurant. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food is very tasty and they have a great selection of German beer to go with the food. I highly recommend the goulash.
Had another AMAZING dining experience at Manor Octoberfest. The staff is always welcoming you like you’re family. The food is consistently fresh and delicious !! My go to meals are the jaegerschnitzel with spaetzle and creamed spinach… enough food for 2 meals. The salmon I order blackened over a salad and I am always accommodated. Great food… fun atmosphere and the best service !! If you have not been here you must go!!!
